چکیده

Abstract The breaking of dormancy mediated by reactive nitrogen species (RNS) is related to the accumulation oxygen (ROS) in germinating embryos but underlying mechanism unclear. objectives this study were: (1) explore relationship between RNS-mediated release and ROS Sorbus pohuashanensis ; and, (2) investigate relationships among germination time, metabolism, endogenous hormone synthesis. We studied effects exogenous nitric oxide (NO) donor sodium nitroprusside (SNP), NO scavenger (4-carboxyphenyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide (PTIO), abscisic acid (ABA), ethylene ethrel, receptor inhibitor 2,5-norbornadien (NBD) on embryo seedling growth. Embryos were released from pretreatment with or ethylene, which was increased biosynthesis decreased ABA levels. Breaking SNP levels hydrogen peroxide, glutathione, activities superoxide dismutase glutathione peroxidase, ABA, anions, malondialdehyde. These especially significant hypocotyls radicles. results demonstrate that can break S. inducing biosynthesis, signalling pathway closely antioxidant defence response.

Nitric Oxide and Reactive Oxygen Species Mediate Metabolic Changes in Barley Seed Embryo during Germination

The levels of nitric oxide (NO) and reactive oxygen species (ROS), ATP/ADP ratios, reduction levels of ascorbate and glutathione, expression of the genes encoding proteins involved in metabolism of NO and activities of the enzymes involved in fermentation and in metabolism of NO and ROS were studied in the embryos of germinating seeds of two barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) cultivars differing in do...

Interactions between nitric oxide, oxygen, reactive oxygen species and reactive nitrogen species.

ROS (reactive oxygen species) and RNS (reactive nitrogen species) are central to the innate immunity that protects us from infection, but also contribute to degenerative diseases and possibly aging. However, ROS and RNS are increasingly recognized to contribute to physiological signalling. This review briefly describes the main interactions between ROS and RNS and shows how their origins, chemi...

Interaction between reactive oxygen species and nitric oxide in the microvascular response to systemic hypoxia.

Systemic hypoxia results in oxidative stress due to a change in the reactive oxygen species (ROS)-nitric oxide (NO) balance. These experiments explored two mechanisms for the altered ROS-NO balance: 1) decreased NO synthesis by NO synthase due to limited O(2) substrate availability and 2) increased superoxide generation. ROS levels and leukocyte adherence in mesenteric venules of rats during hy...

Interaction between Mitochondrial Reactive Oxygen Species, Heme Oxygenase, and Nitric Oxide Synthase Stimulates Phagocytosis in Macrophages

Background Macrophages are cells of the innate immune system that populate every organ. They are required not only for defense against invading pathogens and tissue repair but also for maintenance of tissue homeostasis and iron homeostasis. Aim The aim of this study is to understand whether heme oxygenase (HO) and nitric oxide synthase (NOS) contribute to the regulation of nicotinamide adenin...
